Two previously Japanese only RPG's have just been translated into English for the SNES - Magic Knight Rayearth 2nd: The Missing Colors and Chaos Seed. I am not going to link the ROMs here for obvious reasons but I am sure you can all find them if you want them!

This very creative and clever hack was recently uploaded to ROMHacking.net. Super Spongebob Kart takes what we know and love about Super Mario Kart but replaces Mario and friends with the cast of the animated series and adds battle weapons with under-the-sea themes. This new ROM hack even goes the extra mile by offering an array of new race courses and a new title screen too. A downloadable patch for Super Mario Kart can now be found at the ROMHacking.net. As usual, to enjoy this ROM hack you will need to have an original Super Mario Kart ROM file to which you can apply this patch to. Full instructions on how to patch this ROM can be found within the download.

For the SNES fans, here's a video looking at top 50 games for the system...

That is a well thought out list.

The lack of sports titles actually was a good thing. Nintendo did not start to compete with Sega in sports games till about 1994/95. So seeing only two sports titles made sense.

The Super Nintendo seems like the red headed step child of Nintendo. Sometimes forgotten between the NES and N64. It deserves more credit for the part it played in video game history.

Thanks again for sharing that link, TrekMD!

I like the look of that. Too bad it didn't get an english release.

I take it it has not been translated by anyone?  Like some of the Sega Genesis/MD games?
