I love the CD32, the controler is actuallky not that odd but the Competion Pro is recommended.

The main issue with the console is that it is no console but a consolised A1200.

The storage of your progress is stored in the internal memory which is the RAM and there not that much space.
It happen quite frequnetly that you have to delete your progress in order to launch a game that requires more ram.
That is the biggest issue et the most stupid mistake you can make for a console... Even Atari didi not made this mistake...

I am actually quitte puzzle how they did not thought about that... Now you can buy a SX1 or a promodule then add a Hard Drive and even so I do not know of this will save your progress....

Does anyone has a expension pack for AmigaCD32  and a Hard drive ? Can you test it for me I would be curious about the results.

Its still a console, just as a ps4 is a console.

Yes the nv ram of only 1k was a mistake, but more cost cutting by Commodore in its final year, and memory cards were too expensive too use in 1993.

Only CD32 games that were programmed to save to a hdd or floppy drive will allow to i.e Castles 2, otherwise it still tries to save to the nvram.

There's no list of which games give you an option to save to floppy/hdd, i know from memory its not very big only a handful.

I did start a list of CD32 games a few years ago which is not complete, but shows what extras were on the disc, memory block size needed etc
