Latest Retro Purchases (Games or Hardware)

After getting this in cart form I managed to find boxed copy. Comes with a hand fish guide and a fold out instruction/lake map. Most interesting part is the cartoon instructions for use with the satellaview. The box art is awesome too.

Quote from: "LS650"My latest purchase arrived today: an NTSC TurboGrafx-16. I got it for a fairly decent price from Amazon. No box or manuals, but the hardware is in very good condition and everything works great. Unfortunately I only got two games with it, and neither one is outstanding: Keith Courage, and Double Dungeon.

Now I will be on the lookout for some decent TG16 deals on eBay....Â

Welcome to the TG-16 club and there are some really good games worth tracking down. Like Bonk and Pac-Land.

These two shipped today! Congo and PTO II. Sorry about the glare. I will take the blame or it could be the sealed wrap or just the camera.

Saturn cases even new, they still crack easy. :21:

Never seen either of those games before :13:

I will have to check them out.

PTO II is an RPG by Koei, one of my favorite developers and Congo seems to be a First Person Shooter. I started to rip into the plastic on Congo so that is why it looks a little rougher. I enjoyed the movie and hope to have fun with the game. It has had some mixed reviews from what I read.

Congo is based on the movie, right?

Just picked this up, to add to my small Turbo Grafx collection.

Very nice, zap!Â

Essential for playing 2-player as the TurboGrafx only has one joypad port, awesome for 4-player Bomberman too! :69:

Here is some of the stuff that came in today. I have a couple other things heading my way...

Batman Returns and Robo Aleste are outstanding, you will love them!

Never played Dracula but I have heard good things about it!

I checked out reviews of the Sega CD games and decided to get some of the titles with A or 8+ ratings. These three titles are all top rated. Can't wait to try them out.Â

If you don't already have it then get Silpheed, that is my favourite Mega CD game and a stunning shoot 'em up that is quite reminiscent of Galaga in the gameplay stakes.

Final Fight is an absolute must have game too and pretty much anything by Core Design is great (especially Soul Star).

Don't have either of those, so I'll check them out.
