I know it's a work in progress, but if I try to get to the forums from the menu at the retrovideogamer.co.uk homepage, it gives an error.

Godzilla pinball just started shipping last month, so four tables set to free play would have been a treat for pinball fans.

Stern's Star Trek pinball has been around for a while and is available in Pinball Arcade. On PS4 it's included in the Stern pack 1 bundle which is on sale for $5 until Thursday. (Base game is free) The older ST:TNG table was also available, but they lost the publishing rights and it was delisted. Both are great tables with a similar layout.

Yeah, I've played most of the pinball video games since the 2600 too. Always enjoyed the genre but I think Farsight was the first with accurate versions of real-world tables and the OCD-inducing 'wizard goals'. Even though I have a LOT of retro pinball games and all of the Zen tables since Zen Pinball 1, I've spent more time playing Farsight's games than any of the others. PS4 Pinball Arcade has 101 tables with 10 goals per table. I've got about 35 goals to go... don't even want to think about how many hours I've spent playing Farsight pinball since the Wii Pinball HoF titles.

Zen getting the Bally/Williams license seemed like a good thing but it's been really disappointing to me. Their console versions have censored artwork and audio, and Pinball FX3 'features' like 3d characters/table enhancements and cheats like slow motion and rewind. Some can be disabled, but it's still not realistic real-world pinball. And, Zen hasn't released ANY non-Farsight tables or ANY Zen original tables in the 18+ months since getting the license. Disappointing.

At least Zaccaria Pinball is coming to PS4 this summer. Old EM/SS tables, but I'm looking forward to any new PS4 pinball and it will probably release before any new content from Zen or Farsight.

Pinball Hall of Fame - Williams Collection on the Wii was the beginning of my digital pinball obsession. The control scheme worked great, and the wizard goals were a real challenge. Spent a lot of time completing every wizard goal on every table. The Williams and Gottlieb collections from the Wii era also have a couple old tables that never made it into Pinball Arcade. (Jive Time and Ace High)

Wish the maze walls didn't pulsate to the music... very distracting. Hopefully there's an option to disable that.

Cool mugs!

I have that fuji logo with Atari written in Japanese as the keychain for my car key.

It's actually just another ST port by cjones. No idea why Songbird is selling this one... probably because Carl has the Lynx license?

Stuntcar Racer was awesome! One of the early networked games, linking STs with a null modem cable for multiplayer. My friends and I used to drag our STs/monitors out for Midi Maze nights and would sometimes play Stuntcar Racer for a change of pace.

Krikzz posted a comment downplaying the issue... no one has ever reported a failed everdrive or console from the voltage difference. But, he also implied that the issue would be addressed in future revisions.

Instead of being baited into a mad rush to replace your everdrives, I think it's probably safe to wait for future everdrive versions that add new features along with adjusting the voltage levels.

I still have my original NGCD that I bought at retail but it doesn't get much use. At this point, I think the best route for Neo Geo is to get a 1-slot arcade PCB, cheap supergun, and an MVS multicart. The MVS library is much larger than NGCD (or AES), and most MVS carts are fairly cheap if you want to collect originals. Takes a bit of setup to get the supergun configured, but it's worth it.

Glad it worked out. Sounds like you're actually using a composite video cable (yellow & white/red) and not a component cable (green/blue/red & white/red). The component cable for Gamecube is expensive because it's the only way to get 480p video from the system. Big improvement over composite.

The official component cable for the Gamecube uses a custom chip to decode the video signal. The cable sells for ridiculous prices on ebay. My guess is that your 3rd party component cable isn't handling the video signal properly.

I already have this also... but very nice gesture to offer them to the RVG community!

Debris Revisited is a fun bitmap mode shmup for Vectrex. Like Phoenix/Demon Attack with end level bosses.
