I just added all of Impression Games' city-builders to my collection: Pharaoh, Zeus and Caesar. Nostalgia led me to buy them, and I still enjoy the hell out of them 20 years later.

Nice. That's the idea: When it comes to the best retro games, usually we find that whatever we liked about them 10 or 20 years ago still holds up today. By the way, welcome! If this is your first time here, why don't you leave us an Introduction? Good to meet you, Katastrophic.

Truer words have never been spoken. Thanks for the kind welcome, wyldephang! I'll work on that intro post now. ^_^

VictorLazarus

Just got myself a Switch console, pro controller, and Xenoblade 2: Collector's Edition. The box for this game is so big it won't fit alongside my big box PC games!

(I also included the picture of my Gun.Smoke game, and Capcom Classics, which includes the arcade game, as I mentioned previously)

Vadergb

A couple of Colecovision pickups. £10 delivered from a forum. Ive never played Smurf's but I'm told its a great Pitfall clone.

Shadowrunner

Smurf's is a lot of fun. Q bert on the other hand pisses me off like few other games do lol. I'm just really bad at it!

TrekMD

Both are fun games!  I'm surprised you don't like Q*Bert, Shadow!

More Christmas themed games...

Ah, the famous Frogz 64. I didn’t buy that one, I was very disappointed about the packaging for his other title it put me off. I am a bit touchy with that sort of thing. Bring new titles to the fore by all means but don’t skimp on the packaging with inferior quality boxes and ink jet printed card/instructions.
Still, it looks like a fun game based on Frogger, what are your thoughts Trek?
For the record, Alien verses Predator on the Atari Jaguar holds a Guinness World Record!

To remove any awkwardness, I have mesothelioma. I don’t seek sympathy, just acceptance. Thanks

The game works well enough.  It doesn't push the Jaguar in any fashion but it is a nice clone of Frogger. This is a CD release, so the packaging is good.

ok, nice to know.

As for packaging, Fast Food has a box larger than the normal box sizes and is thinner. It looks like it was folded by hand, competent but not what I would like to see. The CD version is nice, as you say but, the instruction card is good, I suppose, just cut by hand with scissors presumably. Minor details for some and I’m not knocking the fact this chap went to a lot of trouble to produce these games in the first place. For that I applaud him.
