Looks like this is coming sooner than expected! Play Asia has it up for pre-order with a release date of October 2015 http://www.play-asia.com/retro-freak-standard/13/708vvt

It comes with a SNES style controller, but you can buy adapters to use original controllers for all the systems it emulates. The price is 169.99 USD which doesn't sound too bad considering all it does. I'm very tempted!

That's cool.  I've been seriously thinking of getting an N5 but now I have to wonder if I should wait for this one.

Same thing I'm thinking! The only thing holding me back from pre-ordering is not being sure of the quality. Hopefully there's some kind of hands-on feedback before it launches.

TrekMD

Yep, same here.  Quality of the system and the emulation software!

Oooh, I'm gonna have to check this out. If it's good quality I want one :113:

So much for that idea ^^  The first run is completely sold out and they are not expecting any more until mid to late December. Oh well, this way I can hopefully find some user feedback and reviews from the first batch and see if it's any good.

I just watched this video comparison between the N5 and this system.  Check it out...

Good video. I read a lot about this after it came out and decided it wasn't for me. Too expensive and I don't care about being able to use roms. I might get a Retron 5 some day though.

Decent video, it highlights both are too expensive and have flaws. The Retron5 wins if you have a majority of USA carts, but if your like me and have plenty of SFC, Famicom and PCE carts the cyber gadget will be a better option. The Retron 5 does have NES, MD and Snes controller ports but the Bluetooth controller is totally pants. The Snes based pad on the Cyber Gadet could be better out of the box.

Looks wise both have issues, the Cyber Gadget looks like a 3d printed box, the Retron 5 a lightweight shiny console. Don't forget these won't play Everdrives, have build quality issues and for the price you could get an unboxed Gameboy Advance, Snes, NES and MD.
