Tatsunoko v Capcom is beautiful and you can get a lovely themed arcade stick for it. Yum
Kirby's Epic Yarn has the cute-ometer up to 11 so that will put some off but there lots of nice ideas on show in this.

All solid games here except for Namco Museum Remix which is just OK. It has original games plus updates - some are nice but it's not great - just OK.

Bit.Trip complete is the entire WiiWare Bit Trip series on one disc with extra modes and challenges. Comes with a soundtrack CD too - lovely item for the collector.

Monopoly Collection has the original Monopoly and Monopoly Streets on one disc. Best to get this really as the original Monopoly on Wii has a bug that causes the game not to save sometimes and that seems to have been fixed on this version. Monopoly Streets has annoying characters and it puts me off.

Tiger Woods 10 is the first to use motionplus and is very good and content packed. Frisbee golf is a nice addition.

Let's Tap is a mini-compilation of games using a novel control method whereby you put the wiimote on a box and tap the box. It's worth getting for one game on the disc - Tap Runner which is a brief but hilarious piece of Sega genius for up to 4 players - get it. The rest of the gamed on the disc are OK and a bit of mixed bag -  look out for the collectors edition with branded boxes to set the wiimotes on.

Zack and Wiki is a lovely little gem of a puzzle/adventure game that is well worth checking out.

Mario Party is a love/hate thing but it's good entertainment for 4 people. Pacman Party is actually a really good game in the same genre and worth a look.

Boom Street is a real proper grown up board game with stock trading etc added onto a Monopoly style ruleset that requires real tactical play. Odd blend of Dragon Quest and Mario universes make this a collectors piece too.

Wii Fit Plus has some rather nice party games - I set this up with the ski jump game as a bonus round at our Xmas Party Quiz and it went down a storm.

Haven't even booted up Biggest Loser - can't even remember buying it (!) but I suspect it's the sort of shovelware that gave the Wii a bad rep.

Samba de Amigo is the Wii port of the DC game. The control is criticised but once you get the knack and realise it detects your moves by the tilt of the contoller then it works just fine.

This is the version of Raving Rabbids to get - all 3 games previously released on separate discs. Muramasa is a gorgeous 2D platform/fighter/puzzle game.

Excitetruck is an overlooked gem - nice fast racing game that was an early release.

Quote from: "davyk"The Wii is vastly misunderstood and underated. I think it's a great console and I hope it will be looked back at with some fondness when the little gems in it's library get some exposure.

I totally agree, I have near enough 100 games for the Wii myself and I love the console, it's a really excellent system that offers so much stuff that other systems don't and can't. People who dismiss it are really missing out.

Will post the remainder of my Wii collection when I take the pics.

In the meantime - dedicated Pong consoles...

More with the Wii games!!

Puzzle games this time. These pics overlap due to a mixup with me thinking I had lost a photo and I can't be arsed photographing them again(!)

Tetris Party Deluxe is my pick for best console version ever. So much content including clever new games using the Tetris rules that aren't Tetris any more.

Jewel Quest Trilogy has to be in the running for best value for money. Three full games here. A Mahjonng game, a bejeweled alike and a hidden object game - tonnes of content here and it's dirt cheap.

Mensa Academy is just OK - probably worth skipping - though it does have a genuine brain hurting IQ test mode that you might find of interest. Fruit Fall would have been a typical rip-off launch game. It isn't bad - just not much to recommend it - but for collectors it's worth a pick up cheap.

Little Kings Story is highly rated but haven't tried it yet. Puzzle Quest is an addictive game a bit like Bejeweled but with spells and attacks and is played in battlemode against a human or CPU. Obviously available on most platforms but it works really well with the wiimotes.

Guitar Hero games (have 2 controllers.) Two boxed DJ Hero controllers too. Beatles rockband is an experience - beautiful visuals and design - probably the pinnacle of the GH / Rockband genre.

The other two Tiger Woods games that support motionplus.

Angry Birds on Wii is excellent as the wiimote is a great fit for the game.

Wing Island got slagged at launch. Not sure why - if you liked Pilotwings then this will plug the gap until a proper console sequel appears.

Virtua Tennis has been delivering diminishing returns since the Dreamcast days. The control is just using the wiimote on its side - no waggle - so that's a relief. There is a motionplus mode but it's a piss-poor first person 1 player game that isn't worth the effort. Some might like it - just my opinion.

Finally - the wonderful Rhythm Paradise on Wii with soundtrack CD.

TrekMD

Seeing some Wii growth of your collection there.  ;)

Going to the final frontier, gaming...
