I have been working on these loads recently and have been getting better and better at doing them, as well as improving a load of existing designs by both myself and other people I have also made a bunch of new ones too.

I made this one today, a new cover for the Demolition Man / Commander Blood Demo. The first picture is of the new cover I made and the second is a photo is a side by side comparison of my own and the awful original that B&C use when they sell it.

And here are 2 covers I made last week for Jet Pac and SLAM Racer. The Jet Pac one is a completely new design by myself using the original artwork from the Spectrum version of the game. The SLAM Racer one is re-design of one that is already out there, the main difference is the addition of a description to the back.

yes you have come a good bit along with the graphics work..my only qimp is that the back ground text needs to be centered and try keeping in tune with the colours with the colour scheme of the front covers, so example, the "Jetpac" one, I'd of used a colour picked from the laser bolt, and made it slighty dimmer but in the same color or a gradient of the colour for the pink to a darker pink, something like that, and also using bold on a font for text is only used for highlighting or quoting or slogan, if you need to bridge the text, put a string of screen shot between the paragraphs of text, it fills it out and removes lost space in the design.

okay that's your design lesson for today :)

nice work all the same.

Funny thing is that originally the text on the Jet Pac box was pink! I didn't really like it so I changed it to cyan, the same as the Jet Pac logo / writing on the side and thought it looked better. I can go back and turn bold off and see if it looks a bit better, easily done. The 4 screenshots at the top and non-centered text follows the original Atari design (its all left alligned on the original boxes). Also I have to say that the images shown here are not as high res the originals and they look far better actually printed out!

Thanks for the advice anyway, I am using Nero Cover Designer now to make them. It's a great program and incredibly easy to use, better than using MS Paint that's for sure! I am still really pleased with the Demolition Man / Commander Blood cover, especially my idea for having it double sided.

Those look very nice.  I don't think I've heard of Commander Blood as a Jaguar game.

It was finished but unreleased  :'(

It was for the Jaguar CD and there is a demo disc that has a Cinepak demo of both that and Demolition Man on the same disc.

Very decent of you to credit the holder of the Jetpac IP. I notice the individual who knocked out this "simple game" abjectly failed to do so... if the somewhat disingenuous text in that screenshot is anything to go by. :o

Have had some demand to do more so here are 2 new ones I did today:

Martian Attack and Saucer Strike

If anybody wants any of these just let me know as I can either send you the file (you will need a program that supports Nero/.ncf files) or I can make you one using a brand new DVD case for a very reasonable price.

Here are a couple more of mine:

This is a photo of the first cover I ever made for Varuna's Forces. It looks a bit rough now compared to my new ones so I might redo it at some point.

And this is a picture of another one of my new ones, the homebrew game Downfall.
