Hey everyone!

So I'm finally ready to properly sell my games, and I thought I'd start with my Atari Collection.

The list of games which I have on sale can be found here;

https://1drv.ms/x/s!ArLVTi12qvFwzy077q4_rFcUPniS

Please note there are different tabs for the Jaguar, Jaguar CD and Lynx.

If you are interested in any of the games in the list, you can either let me know by replying here or PM-ing me.

I am also selling all related hardware which includes the following;

Atari Jaguar Console
- Power Cable
- Scart Cable
- AV Cable (RCA)
- 2 x Standard Jaguar Controllers
- 1 x Pro Jaguar Controller (in box)

Atari Jaguar CD Console/Expansion
- Power Cable
- Memory Track Cart

Atari Lynx
- Power Cable
- Carry Case

The photos wll be uploaded onto my one drive later on today, I will share the folder in which they are stored as soon as I can.

All serious offers will be considered

Also if anyone just wants to talk about the collection and why I'm selling feel free!

I have more systems and games which I will be selling soon so keep your eyes peeled!

*EDIT*

To avoid any issues or disappointing people, I will try and add a column of rough asking price... as quite frankly I dont want anyone offering me £10 for Alien Vs Predator then getting annoyed when I say NO lol

Hey everyone! I couldn't see a recent thread about this and didn't want to resurrect any old threads so thought I'd post a new one, hope that's cool.

I'm selling my retro gaming collection over the coming months, and part of the solution for that is for me to emulate as much of my old favourites as possible, and I am currently trying to do this on Android.

Currently I'm using the following emulators on my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium;

Gearoid
Gensoid
FPSE
Nesoid
Snesoid

Couple of things I wanted to ask you guys;

  • Does anyone use these emulators at all? If so, do you encounter issues getting them to read the SD card contents? Any tips for getting round this?

  • Does anyone emulate via android in combination with displaying their phone to TV via usb-hdmi? I was looking for info on setting this up but couldn't find anything useful, any tips on setup, cables, etc would be appreciated.

  • Can ayone recommend decent emulation solutions for Atari Lynx and Jaguar? Android or otherwise

Feel free to discuss android emulation in general as well! Any questions you have for me on it are welcome

Hey gang, one last one I wanted to bring up while I think of it and again, I couldn't find a thread so thought I'd start one, the MIGHTY Dreamcast refuses to die huh!! The gorgeous Pier Solar which came out for Mega Drive on its 20th anniversary and it has since been announced as a HD Remake/rerelease on Dreamcast and many other major platforms.

Has anyone played the Mega Drive version? Do any of you plan to get it when it comes out? I tend to pledge/back these quite early on so my Dreamcast copy has been paid for about a year lol. I'm interested to know what you guys all think of this one, it will probably be too long of a game for me to ever complete but I have to own it, its on DC after all  :4:

Sega Chat / Predator Light Gun for Saturn query
February 18, 2014, 01:11:50 AM
Hey gang, so I got my new tv and its pretty awesome for my gaming needs and it does appear to be working with the predator light gun however I need to try and calibrate it as it appears to be horribly off centre, it only recognises 2 in 10 shots the rest of the time it just keeps reloading. Does anyone know of a good way to calibrate it or correct it or is it a case of its impossible? thanks

Ok so those of you who know me know how nuts I am on my DC.. and you may also know that I like From Softwares Armored Core Series on Playstation and xbox, so to those of you who know and love Armored Core and have a Dreamcast.. your in for a treat.

Frame Gride, also by From Software, was previously partially translated but it is now 100% translated and ready for use. If you want to know more about the translated version contact me via PM/Email

Here is my video on my channel about Frame Gride

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6IIh0XbjLU

For those of you who DON'T know Armored Core it is a mech sim of sorts where by you customise and build your own mech based on a number of principles, its basically the Gran Turismo of the "Mech Warrior" genre. You can have different classes of mechs, different leg types, you can change things as stupidly fiddly as boosters and FC's etc (whatever they are lol) and go on missions. Later versions are now on modern consoles but the original Armored Core was on PS1 and is still to this day one of my favourite all time PS1 games. Here is a vid about Armored Core:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YegbkUXv5bE

So to clarify the connection between Frame Gride and Armored Core: Frame Gride was From Softwares one and only release on the Dreamcast. It is basically Armored Core in Medieval times, the game is incredible and looks fantastic on Dreamcast but it was only released as NTSC J. So for it to be finally translated is a massive deal because it must've taken serious work and effort to do.

Anyway I didn't think I should link to the location so if anyone wants to know more as mentioned earlier, give me a shout

Handheld & Tabletop Chat / Sega Game Gear thread
January 28, 2013, 17:40:20 PM
Has anyone seen Halley Wars on the Game Gear? I think its one of the rare GG only games out there (as in, it wasn't on SMS first then ported) are there any other titles like this that aren't on SMS as well? Be very interested to hear the list, I bet its short lol

Its pretty nice so far, I only had a quick go on it and I realised that I actually have over 20 games for the GG now... I must say I'm surprised I have that many I thought I had a lot less... need to google some more games and see whats around

Hey gang... so I've been trying to find some more roms for my FPse for droid which is the emulator for the playstation 1. I've been receiving a lot of app updates to FPse over the market this week and thought I'd try it out again. I've got the games listed below working quite nicely so far:

Broken Sword Shadow Of The Templars
Castlevania Symphony Of The Night
Final Fantasy Origins
Medievil
Megaman x5
Metal Slug
Oddworld Abe's Oddysee
Crash Bandicoot
Wild 9

Now I know from experience that not all roms are born equal, and I have struggled to find working ones for the FPse on a regular basis so for those of you struggling PM me and I'll send you links to the most reliable ROM sites I've come across

Does anyone know of any other games that work well on FPse?? I have seen a list of compatible titles but its definitely not set in stone because it says I shouldn't be able to run SOTN but I can lol

be interested to hear if anyone else emulates on an android device and if so what games and what system

Hi guys, I'm after an MD 2, no leads or controllers required , just the power supply I guess

I have 1 spare Master System MK2, a Spare white later model Dreamcast, and 3 faulty but repairable Game Gears if anyone would be willing to trade? IF it works I would also trade my MK1 MD for it as I need the stereo sound etc

Currently I have an MD1, SMCD 2 and 32x and the sound from the 32x doesn't work. I CURRENTLY can only run sound from the 32x via the Mega CD audio out ports to red and white composite but this doesn't seem to be sending the full sound, its only sending partial sound. For an example of the problem, when the Sonic/Sega Screen shows at the start of every Sega CD game there is no sound. During Earthworm Jim SE there is no jingle during loading and no gun sound effects or other SE etc... and I've tried different audio leads, I've tried the MD and MCD without the 32x and its still the same but thankfully the MD and MCD on their own send the sound to the TV perfectly fine via the SMD/SMS mk1 AV cable. so I really need/want the MD2 to get proper sound when using the 32x

Any takers please contact me via pm and we can arrange. The condition is not a big issue as long as it turns on

So I've had a Lynx for years and knew about the existance of the ComLynx facility vaguely for a while but I had NEVER seen it work in the flesh... I was not prepared for just how impressive it was!

have a look at this vid from Retrovision this past weekend in which Laird and I play Xybots over ComLynx, this is my first time! it was brilliant

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ00hWSgBrs

so what do you guys think? I loved this and really wish I knew someone with a Lynx nearby I'd play this all the time!!

Hi guys

I'm interested in picking up a Turbografx for cheap, I don't know if you guys swap or outright sell or what but I have 2 spare Dreamcasts, a Spare SMS MK 2 and I have a couple of old faulty Game Gears that someone could, if they know how, repair and use

so I'm looking for the following:

PAL Turbo Grafx 16 + 1 controller and leads (no games necessary)

assuming I get one I would also like Alien Crush specifically and any action/RPG/platforming games that people can recommend

cheers guys

Heads up everyone!

The latest videos are available on the RVG youtube channel now... this is a special two part show by me for RVG... its a top ten list of my personal favourite Master System games.

Please remember this is my personal choice top ten and RVG don't necessarily agree or disagree with my personal opinion lol :)

enjoy and let me know your thoughts, I've tried to be as fair and unbiased as I could be but at the end of the day it mostly came down to the games I have the fondest memories for.

Feel free to post your top tens here

Any feedback on the vids, likes, comments, subscriptions are always greatly appreciated!

Sega Chat / does my Mega Drive need a clean?
September 18, 2012, 09:18:42 AM
Hey guys,

I've got a Mega Drive mk1 and it seems to be getting bad... in terms of its general performance

I've noticed it more lately, games don't turn on very often and when they do they sometimes crash, get stuck or the graphics glitch while playing

would this constitute the need for a disassemble and clean do you guys think? or is it possibly the carts?

I have googled for vids on YT about cleaning Mega Drive 1's but couldn't find anything of a good/professional quality that I would trust to follow

any suggestions?

Sega Chat / US Only Genesis games?
August 07, 2012, 13:04:37 PM
Hey gang,

So I recently realised that virtually any US Genesis cart will work on PAL Mega Drives and wondered if there are any stand out titles that came out in the US that didn't reach UK shores??

I did a google but came up empty, Google seemed to only return results like "Used Genesis Games" or "USA Genesis" etc but no lists of USA ONLY titles for MD/Genesis

be interested to hear, and if its been posted before I apologise but I couldn't find the right search term to find a thread about it

Hi guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I have a bunch of old games I don't want, just a dozen or so really.

consisting of 2 32x carts and 3 (I think) Game Gear carts along with a couple of 360 games I don't want/can't be bothered to try and finish anymore

when I get home I'll post a picture of all the swag and if anyone wants them let me know, if this is in the wrong section please let me know or just move for me

thanks!!

Hey guys, so I tried playing this again last night and for some strange reason whenever I seem to finish a stage in part 2 it seems to just revert to the title screen, has anyone heard of this? its not like a crash during the game, it should progress but simply returns to the menu. has anyone heard of demo version cartridges maybe? I mean mine doesn't say DEMO or anything so I have no idea. I'll upload a vid later on of my playthrough and you'll see what I mean

thanks

the Angry Video Game Nerd makes me laugh sometimes but I saw his 2 part review of the Jaguar console recently and thought I'd see what you guys think

here's the videos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGEGon-Qc_Q

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LVcvkLCUtU

I found myself basically thinking, "this guys a total douche, he hasn't researched anything, looks at about 5 games and doesn't even try to properly look at the Jaguar CD"

I mean seriously if he couldn't find one that worked then that's his damn fault!! I found one immediately, an awesome company in the US that refurbishes them sold me one for around £115 and it was absolutely perfect and works great...

obviously I'll be the first to admit that the Jaguar was not what they said it would be, it wasn't as amazing as Atari made out but if you look past all the marketing BS and stuff its actually a really great machine

what REALLY bugs me though is that he is obviously just playing off of the Jaguar Stereotypes such as the red screen and Jaguar CD's being somewhat rare... but if he couldn't get a working Jaguar CD he shouldn't have even discussed it!

And then there's his skit on Cybermorph! That drove me nuts, if you actually put the effort in to learn the controls and learn how to play it (which  REALLY isn't hard) you find its actually a really brilliant little game for what it was.

He was obviously expecting a fast paced super speedy Star Fox clone, its not the games fault that he couldn't work out how to avoid obstacles in the scenary!! I never fly that fast in Cybermorph because its not made that way!!

anyway it just REALLY bugged me that he gave it such a hard time when clearly he hasn't done any research he's just playing off of all the complaints other people have made to ensure that his video gets loads of views and what not, doesn't matter if the thing wasn't actually as bad as he's saying and the fact he ripped into the CD drive without even being able to test it just hacked me off

anyone else agree or is he right?
