Hey gang, sorry to reactivate this thread... but I thought I'd share the link to my ebay page... Hey Zap, sorry I didn't reply to this until now, I've been off work with Sciatica and have now been signed off for 2 weeks and haven't been checking my emails as have been basically laid up on the couch for 2 weeks!

If you're happy to do that then I'm down, how about £200 for the CD expansion and all its cables, inc p&p?

Sorry again for the delayed response but am still vey keen to sell all this stuff and wanna make sure it goes to good homes

Aaah ok, I did wonder lol

If you get a chance, try out that emulator and let me know if you get the same problem.

If I can't emulate lynx on Android, can I do it on my pc? Does anyone know of any good emulators for that on PC?

#5
Crikey what were you doing up at that time?! haha!!

I tried the lynx emulator and so far nothing works. I've downloaded it and installed twice but when I try to apply the bios it just says the app crashed, every time I try. So far as a result, I have been unable to test it

Has anyone else had similar issues with this emulator?

Found it, aLynx Free... though I haven't tried it yet, will likely try it out tonight along with the Jaguar one potentially. I'll let you know how it goes

The phone I will be using is a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium with a microUSB 2.0 (MHL 3 TV-out) port, but I also have a Sony Xperia XZ2 with USB C. I'd rather use the older premium as the xz2 is my main phone. But thats good that it should change the orientation based on whats on the screen. I just need to find a cable now that is reasonably priced and will work.

I've got the FPSE android emulator working for PS1... so that now just leaves the 2 Atari ones. I found a lynx emulator but haven't tried yet, when I get back home I'll get the name of it for you guys incase anyone wants to check it out

I'm thinking somewhere around £200? Been looking at what they've been selling for and some have been going for INSANE amounts... I've not had much chance to fully investigate what its reasonably going for at the moment so I'm open to suggestions lol

Did you want any of the CD games as well? I saw a bundle of a working CD expansion and 4 games which sold for something like £500+... madness. Battlemorph is fantastic and Soulstar and Hoverstrike are really good... they are all in decent condition just some of the boxes are a LITTLE squashed in places, but otherwise in perfect condition and complete. Would be happy to discuss a bundle for the lot?

Sweet, so if I can get HDMI setup, the consensus seems to be that I'll need a cable which goes from the phone to tv and has a extra part for USB charging. If I can get one that works, does anyone know how it will behave? ie; will it always be vertical? Or will it switch dynamically depending on the way the phone is?

Aaah ok, then yeah that is the same as the screen mirroring function on my phone. When I use screen mirroring, the screen is duplicated onto the tv regardless of what is on the screen, the home screen, a game, messaging, a video etc. But the reason I would like to explore using a cable is because the screen sharing does seem a bit laggy when playing games over the wifi... and I thought maybe a hardwired connecting would work better

Marketplace / Atari Jaguar/Lynx Collection for sale
July 11, 2018, 09:34:19 AM
Hey everyone!

So I'm finally ready to properly sell my games, and I thought I'd start with my Atari Collection.

The list of games which I have on sale can be found here;

https://1drv.ms/x/s!ArLVTi12qvFwzy077q4_rFcUPniS

Please note there are different tabs for the Jaguar, Jaguar CD and Lynx.

If you are interested in any of the games in the list, you can either let me know by replying here or PM-ing me.

I am also selling all related hardware which includes the following;

Atari Jaguar Console
- Power Cable
- Scart Cable
- AV Cable (RCA)
- 2 x Standard Jaguar Controllers
- 1 x Pro Jaguar Controller (in box)

Atari Jaguar CD Console/Expansion
- Power Cable
- Memory Track Cart

Atari Lynx
- Power Cable
- Carry Case

The photos wll be uploaded onto my one drive later on today, I will share the folder in which they are stored as soon as I can.

All serious offers will be considered

Also if anyone just wants to talk about the collection and why I'm selling feel free!

I have more systems and games which I will be selling soon so keep your eyes peeled!

*EDIT*

To avoid any issues or disappointing people, I will try and add a column of rough asking price... as quite frankly I dont want anyone offering me £10 for Alien Vs Predator then getting annoyed when I say NO lol

Is screen "Mirroring" the same as Screen Share? I am able to cast certain apps to my tv, and "Screen Share" but both are relatively laggy... hence why I thought maybe for accurate gaming on the screen, would it be better to use a cable and not rely on the wireless signal integrity

Thanks for the Jaguar emulator suggestion, will check it out! Has anyone got any experience using it? Just wondering what the quality is like

Fair play mate, understandable. I can have a look for an MHL cable and see how that goes. Is your understanding that the cable will display the screen vertically? Or is it going to display whatever orientation the screen is depending on the app which is running?

Anyone got any (android or otherwise) emulator recommendations for Lynx and/or Jag?

If anyone wants to discuss other android emulators which they have used please feel free.

I find Gensoid is really good but just has the occasional niggle with things like accessing the SD card and sometimes ROMS will play up, but other than that, for Android it works really well

Fair enough... I guess it all comes down to logistics and what's easiest for you. For me I find it impossible to have all the original retro systems setup and accessible on a regular basis, not to mention all the carts and/or jewel cases... and dusting lol. It was a somewhat manageable when I lived with my ex wife as I just kept them in boxes in the spare bedroom and had most systems wired up in some way or in boxes near by.

But living with my fiance and my step daughter in our new house, I don't have any way of doing that, the decoration style is considerably more... minimalist than before! So for me its infinitely easier to have emulators all setup on one device. Plus I need to sell it all for some extra money to put towards the house :D

Regarding the TV connection thing, I'd be interested to know what kind of cable you used, for example, my phone has a microUSB 2.0 (MHL 3 TV-out), USB Host port, and I've seen tonnes of variations... some include usb-hdmi-power, some just usb-hdmi... there doesn't seem to be any clear solution from what I've googled. I know you said it didn't work for you but if I can find something similar from another manufacturer, I might be in business.

I've tried casting and screensharing but its subject to serious lag and slow down etc

Hey everyone! I couldn't see a recent thread about this and didn't want to resurrect any old threads so thought I'd post a new one, hope that's cool.

I'm selling my retro gaming collection over the coming months, and part of the solution for that is for me to emulate as much of my old favourites as possible, and I am currently trying to do this on Android.

Currently I'm using the following emulators on my Sony Xperia Z5 Premium;

Gearoid
Gensoid
FPSE
Nesoid
Snesoid

Couple of things I wanted to ask you guys;

  • Does anyone use these emulators at all? If so, do you encounter issues getting them to read the SD card contents? Any tips for getting round this?

  • Does anyone emulate via android in combination with displaying their phone to TV via usb-hdmi? I was looking for info on setting this up but couldn't find anything useful, any tips on setup, cables, etc would be appreciated.

  • Can ayone recommend decent emulation solutions for Atari Lynx and Jaguar? Android or otherwise

Feel free to discuss android emulation in general as well! Any questions you have for me on it are welcome
