Well, it may not have been coded by David Crane but neither were some of the original game's sequels.

That's not the problem. The fact it plays nothing like Pitfall is more to do with it

Except that's not a 'fact' at all.

Of course it is.

Pitfall for iOS and Android is a Temple Run clone, it plays NOTHING like the proper Pitfall games.

Pitfall 3D: Beyond The Jungle and Pitfall: The Lost Expedition appear to have much in common with the likes of Spyro the Dragon, Super Mario 64, et al. Pitall! on iOS/Android may well be an endless runner in the vain of Temple Run. Point being, they all have elements of the original Pitfall! present.

Just because you don't think the iOS/Android game is a 'proper' Pitfall! game doesn't make it so. It's your opinion, not a fact.
