this unit has great potential with the amount of free android software and not's let forget the great open source emulators out there like UAE4droid running natively inside this machine. ...magic would be simply stick a usb stick with your games and play on your 50" LCD...EPIC!!!Â
I can't see this using a form of anti-piracy or stopping users from running what they want here.
Exactly!
This could be the worlds first truly open source games console, an exciting idea if I ever heard one!

That's right! Close to $900,000 already!
might have to buy one of these bad boys when they show up..but since it seems to be an American company producing it..it could be awhile for a pal version, I don't like messing around with those step down power adapters.. but I have a feeling I will have too

Given how big the European game market is (2nd biggest after the US) I am sure we won't be waiting long. Look at the success of the Raspberry Pi here, this is almost like a console equivalent.
This project is now fully funded! Awesome!Â
Wallop, look forward to watching the development of this beauty.
This project has now, in about 24 hours, gotten close to $3 million in pledges! That is amazing! I sure hope this does well and ends up the game changer that it appears to be!
Great stuff!
They are in shock! They are asking now folks to give them ideas for long-term planning and ways to improve the product. Lots of people are recommending that they allow for the ability to upgrade components.

Glad to hear it! I thought that was a good editorial, unlike the one on Phandroid which was scathing even to supporters of the project! http://phandroid.com/2012/07/11/ouya-why-the-over-hyped-android-game-console-is-a-bad-investment/  I think it is ironic that an Android site would be so negative about this project while Endgadget, who is notoriously known to be pro-Apple and negative towards Android, had a positive outlook.
