We recently saw versions of this hugely popular mobile and flash game 2048 hit the Atari 2600, Commodore 16 & Plus/4, Sega Mega Drive, Nintendo Game Boy, Atari XL/XE and Sega Master System among other systems so it was only a matter of time before the Nintendo Game Boy got a version too. If you're not familiar with the game, here are some details (from Wikipedia):  2048 is a single-player online and mobile game created in March 2014 by Italian 19-year-old Gabriele Cirulli, in which the objective is to slide tiles on a grid to combine them and create a tile with the number 2048. It can be regarded as a type of sliding block puzzle.

Homebrewer programmer Sanqui has not only released his own version for the portable Nintendo machine but he has also made available all the assets he used to make it, to help you build your own versions of the game. You can check out all this information and more about his projects on his website. A ROM of this game has been released for free and can be used with both real hardware and flash cartridges, so now you can finally play this addictive game on the move!
