Good work, fella.

Never seen any of the 8 Bit Micro versions.

Did'nt get to see much of the C64 version in matey boy's vid, least it had in game music, but it looked rough, very blocky etc.

Speccy version, no great shakes in audio or visual dept, but best sprite definition.

CPC version-I liked the title screen music, in-game, 'chunky-veg' visuals (blocky, but colourful).

Of the 3? i'd say CPC version looks the best.

Ohhh, thought of future 8-Bit comparison i'd love to see:

(Oceans) Platoon.

Your main character minces along and matey boy with the rail flails, looks like he's walking around with his knob out, lol

I remember this being slated in Zzap! and judging by that video, rightly so. Poorly-defined sprites and bad use of colour is one thing, but all things considered, why on earth is it so sluggish with so little going on? It must have been either a rush job or given to an inexperienced programmer.

The CPC version looks a bit jerky and the characters disproportionately large in comparison to the small screen area. The Spectrum version on the other hand looks decent, with good definition, a decent lick of colour for once, and it looks nice and responsive, too.

Ok, being as you started this by mentioning the SMS version  :3:I simply have to mention the almost arcade perfect PCE port. One of my favourite games as a youngster.
