I laughed at seeing the Wii U in there!

The Super Nintendo for me, in fact perhaps my favourite ever console. It comes from a fantastic era where it was worth owning the 2 main rival formats as both were excellent.

SNES has a lot of games that I simply love playing. Japanese RPG's are awesome on the machine and so many of the games have rich and colourful graphics and sound that still hold up today.

Tough choice for me between the Gamecube and the Wii. They're the only two Nintendo consoles that I like.

I voted for Gamecube. Nintendo might have had the most powerful hardware of that generation, they made a legit effort at quality mature titles, great 3rd party exclusives from Sega, Capcom, Konami, etc. It was the only time they offered a console that catered to my gaming interests. And... it was their worst selling console ever.

I really like the Wii also, but mostly because of all the retro inspired titles on Wiiware. Wii had some excellent 3rd party exclusives at retail too, but they're a small % of a library dominated by casual gamer shovelware and generic 1st party franchise updates.

Gamecube is probably my least overall favourite. I just found it lacking in key areas with their own franchises.

I do love the wonderfully vibrant colour from games like Mario Kart though.

Myself I voted for the Wii, it's the only Nintendo console I have ever enjoyed really. None of the others have ever grabbed me for some reason, although I admit that I have little experience with the Game Cube having only played 3 or 4 games on it.

I voted for the N64. Having now caught up on a lot of games on the console, the SNES is a close second for me. But a lot of my favourite single and multiplayer games are on the N64.

Nintendo certainly have quite an interesting history of consoles. Each era is quite different when you factor in the various support from 3rd parties and different types of controllers used over the years.

GBA for me, their best handheld to date, loads of classic games both new and from the nes and snes and could pull off sôme half decent 3d games too.

Despite having owned (and still owning) a lot of Nintendo hardware, i'm not really a huge fan of any of the systems to be honest.

Never took to the NES (was happy with my C64 and was looking to upgrade to 16 Bit), was given a GB, hate the wretched thing, screen is bloody awful, only kept it for Alien 3, picked up a SNES long after being a MD owner and yes, newer, superior technology in lot of areas and loved Mr Do!, Choplifter 3, Lawnmower man (3D stages), Alien 3 and few others but it never felt that much of a leap over a cleverly coded MD game to myself.

The N64 i bought for Golden Eye, Perfect Dark, ended up buying Starfox 64 (superb), Turok 2 (tech demo, horrendous game), Banjo-K (loved), Jet Force Gem. (nope, not me), Blast Corps, Body Harvest (could'nt get into either), i loathed Mario 64, liked Doom and Quake 2, but soon got shot of the N64 after picking up Command And Conq.on it, which was horrendous with that ang.stick.Got shot of the SNES around same time.

Was given a GBA, again WTF is going on with that screen? NO backlight? pathetic!, so bought a GBA Micro-A wonderous device, cramp central in my huge hands, but the screen, ohhh, the screen.Fantastic battery life, great games so (technically) i'm voting for that.

Picked up a Game Cube (along with GB player) still own both, but they look horrendous on HDTV, loved Eternal Darkness, Res.Evil Remake, Rogue SQ. and MGS:Twin Snakes on GC, along with V.Joe, never took to Metriod Prime though.

Thing my 2 biggest 'issues' with Nintendo hardware has been:

1)The 'Key' Nintendo franchises (Zelda, Mario, Metriod, F-Zero etc, i just cannot get into, so i end up buying the 3rd party/exclusive too the system games and often 3rd party support is shaky at best, so soon run out of games i want).

2)I hate the controllers, the N64 Trident, the G.C pad, even the SNES pad, all over-rated and often painful to use.

My Nintendo experience is limited to their handhelds, the NES, and the GameCube. Of those I had to choose the NES. Lots of great memories playing it as a kid.

Ditto, main reason I have never owned Nintendo consoles before. Don't like Ninty's first party stuff and terrible controllers.

I can't stand the Gamecube pad and the N64 pad is functional for the machine rather than being that good. NES pad is not comfy either but I love the SNES pad.

Yeah with Nintendo, more so since the N64 era, you really to love their first party games and third party support since then has been mixed. On the SNES you had Konami, Capcom, EA, Square, Enix, Sensible, Rage and Human just to name a few. After that, the choice not to use CD for N64 and DVD for Gamecube hurt them.

I rarely use the bundled controller with Nintendo consoles. For NES I had some snap on mini-sticks that covered the d-pad... or I used the NES Advantage. I usually use a modded ASCII stick for SNES, a Makopad for the N64, and 'playcube' adapters to use PSX controllers on the Gamecube. (either dualshocks or Namco/Hori arcade sticks)

I do like the Wavebird though. And I really like the Wii's Classic Controller Pro.
