Without a doubt the Amiga rules the roost on this battle, but the atari ST quartet version is pretty close to the Amiga original , the Mega drive one is exceptional, and if you never heard the Amiga version before hand, this would of won hands down, fantasic fm sound chip tune-age

I think is definately the hardest one to pick so far, all of the different versions are superb.

I plumped for the remixed Atari Lynx version, it just sounds so moody - I love it!

The game was actually more a tech demo than a game, as it s long play is only 15mins from start to finish..they admitted this in an interview many years later..shadow of the beast 2 was more a complete game than the first.

But yes the DAvid Whittaker score is epic..as was much of his other Amiga classics.

Yep, thankfully the Lynx version is a different but similar looking game and much better for it.

Going from the Spectrum to the Amiga, this was one of the early games that blew my tiny mind!
