There are a few vector based arcade machines around, lets see how many of them we as a community have played.

Just last week i managed to play...

Tempest

Any of you played these or any others?

Own: Jaguar, Lynx, Dreamcast, Saturn, MegaDrive, MegaCD, 32X, GameGear, PS3, PS, PSP, Wii, GameCube, N64, DS, GBA, GBC, GBP, GB,  Xbox, 3DO, CDi,  WonderSwan, WonderSwan Colour NGPC

Greyfox

Yes, I've played both games, but found Tempest dead hard and very tricky, but was delighted when Livewire and the wonderful Axis Assassin both appeared on the wonder 8-bit machine the Atari 800xl , pure class and urge people to Hunt it down on either the c64 or A8 platform.

But on with the show, a another classic and one tuff as nails the mightly

King of the vector games must be Atari's Star Wars. I've played both stand up and sit down variants, but prefer the stand up as it's what I played most. Thanks as always to Colin for dragging his to every event I've been to.

I was lucky enough to get a whirl on The Empire Strikes Back for a bit too.

Let us not forget Battlezone, another great from my local arcade. If possible, best played on the upright with the litle viewing box you peer into for full effect.

A personal favourite has always been Space Duel, like a more advanced Asteroids game. Sadly, I've not seen a cab in 25 years, but I do hit it in MAME from time to time. Those coloured vectors give it a whole new look when compared to its predecessor. Well worth checking out, I can't help but wonder if Thrust took some of its ideas from here.
