thanks by the way for the comments... can anyone suggest any good lengthy Game Gear games? I'm talking the kind of thing like Rygar for Lynx or Slime World or Xybots, is there anything of that quality on GG besides shadow of the beast, which funnily enough I have on Lynx lol

God I love that little Lynx... brilliant machine, I can't WAIT for Zaku either

I sold my Game Gear because I think its a terrible machine and there are only a few games on it that you can't get on the Master System where you don't have to put up with that terrible screen. The only ones I can think of are the 2 GG Shinobi games and Ax Battler. Also Shadow Of The Beast is a different game, the Lynx version is exclusive to that machine and widely regarded as the best. I think the Lynx has the better games of that type with stuff like Xenophobe, Slimeworld, Electrocop, Power Factor and Gauntlet 3.

The Lynx is my favourite machine bar none, it easily has the best good to bad games ratio of any machine - there are probably only about 5 shit games in the whole library. The Game Gear might have a lot more games but the Lynx still has a lot more good games!

Ok so fair point I guess I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one who felt this way. The Game Gear was a bit of a con in the end when you think about it. the same architecture as the SMS but with a poo screen and the sound would often go wrong quite quickly. The only games I have that I don't think you can get on the SMS are games like Sonic Triple Trouble, Sonic Drift and perhaps Sonic Chaos?

I am tempted to buy Gates Of Zendocon at some point if I see it cheap!

Anyone got any thoughts re: my Master System question? I'm looking at an SMS MK1 on Ebay for just £9 and am tempted to pick one up as it will be nice to send the pic via Composite/Scart and I will then be able to properly capture vids from it as well

IIRC Sonic Chaos and Sonic Drift were released for the SMS in Brazil.

I have a loose GoZ you can have for £3 if you like. It's one of the many Lynx games I have on eBay right now but I can easliy remove the auction and do it a bit cheaper for you!
