Was Colecovision in the UK back in 1982? if so, was the system called "Colecovision" or did it have a different name. I remember reading somewhere that some game system that I had was over there, but had a totally different name.

Yep, same name, same machine. It wasn't very successful though.

Scooter-Computer

How is that possible? It was the best in the USA.  I guess it wasn't promoted properly.

It was very expensive and everyone was into home computers here. The only console that sold well here from that generation was the 2600. Console gaming didn't really take off properly here until the Mega Drive came along, although the Master System did sell well too.

Scooter-Computer

ah. After the Colecovision and 5200, I just drifted to COMPUTERS, too. But I always considered Atari 2600 in the first Generation, and Colecovision in the 2nd Gen. Maybe I should revisit my definitions.

Yeah I do too, I perhaps worded my post wrongly. I was more talking about the early to mid 80s

I figured I'd post the list of games that will be included for the console.  Has anyone had any luck finding one of these?  It seems they are being sold ahead of time at some retailers.

That's a lot of games! I haven't seen any for sale yet, but I haven't been looking either. I did read Toys R Us had sold some early.

TrekMD

Yes it is.  Plenty of games.  True that some of the one the system was recognized for (like Donkey Kong) are not here but that's a licensing issue.  I checked at my local Toys'R'Us today but they did not have any on display.

Where are you guys all located, the UK?

I'm in Sydney and wondering, how would I get a hold of one of these do you know?

Will they accept international orders does it sound like it or not?

TrekMD

I'm in the US.  I do not know whether or not they'll accept international orders.  Amazon will carry it, so you may want to check if you can order it through them.

That games list TrekMD posted is impressive. Me want badly...

TrekMD

The version of the Intellivision Flashback sold at Dollar General has an extra game but I don't know if the ColecoVision one does.
