I saw an interesting news report about the landfill. It seems the found material are from a near atari plant which was converted to a service center due to cost reduction. Due to this change there where several tons of modules, spare parts etc loaded and transported to this area silently. Bad this was seen and made public.

I have already spoken about this and it was public, hence why it was in the Atari book recently.

This was the original story, the E.T. story was the created myth.

I'll bet that somewhere in my local landfill there are some wonderful systems, like Colecovision, just abandoned by bad parents.
