I will be attending FreePlay Florida this year.  The event takes place this coming weekend in Orlando.  This is the main event in Florida for Retro Gaming and has been going on for several years.  Various retro guests will attend and there will be plenty of arcade pinball machines to enjoy.  Watch this space for pictures.  :)

This year there is even a release of an exclusive event-themed game for the Atari 2600.  This is a limited edition custom game sponsored by Cybertron Video Games, AtariAge, and Retro Games Fan for Free Play Florida 2017.  The game itself is a mod of Midnight Magic created by Florida’s own Atari legend Scott Dayton of Neo Games.

This year was really great. Lots of interesting things going on. There were incredible panels with the Aztarac vector game unveiling, Atari Age vendor table section, giant Donkey Kong, Tron and Star Wars arcade machines and lots more.

That is cool.  I have not had a chance to organize my pictures but soon I'll post the album.  :)

Thanks! I spent quite a bit of time over the week leading up to FreePlay restoring the Silkworm game to get it running for the show. Painted it, wired it, designed a new bezel graphic, and new custom side art (as the original was just a generic Tecmo logo), cut out a new plexi covering for the control panel and a new plexi for the monitor bezel, and installed a new power supply and a tube swapped and burn free arcade monitor.

Wow, that's a lot of work!  Nicely done!
