Looks like the book can already be ordered on Amazon UK, zap.  I received my book already!  I had the chance to see it first in PDF format so I could do a review.  So, the review is now up:  Atari 2600 Encyclopedia Review.

Wow, came across this from browsing atariage, this is absolutely amazing! I will have to register with Amazon to order one today! Are they available to Ireland?

Thanks

Greyfox

Hello FrOst and welcome to the RVG forums, and great to fellow Irish man signing up,  I am the graphic designer behind the book and it is estimated that it can be ordered from Amazon in the next 2-3 weeks via Amazon UK, Our American cousins have all the luck with it been based there, so as soon as I have word or @VgaTV posts about the it's European release, I'll post it here for you all.

But in the mean time why not check the world first book review by our Review guy in charge TrekMD and let us know what you thought?. Also why not give yourself an introduction in the introduction page on the forum.

Kind Regards

Darren.

Thanks Darren! It's good to know I'm not the only Atari enthusiast on this small island. I will indeed throw up an introduction soon, just down the pub at the moment!
I have a fairly decent collection of 2600 games, and have been collecting for years. My first console was the 2600, so it's always stayed with me. This collection of books just sounds like a must have!
Thanks again, Eamonn.

I have done a small update on the review.  I read someone complaining that the iBooks version doesn't look like the print version and read a post from TheVgaTV explaining that there are indeed differences, so I made a comment about that on the review.  I can't look at the iBook myself (I don't have iDevices) but wanted to also include that in the review.

How the sales on this @VgaTV

Pretty slow actually.  At the moment I'm averaging 2-3 copies sold a month.  Overall I sold enough to break even at least, which isn't too bad.  I'm still working on the next volumes, although my day job has completely consumed me which is why it is taking so long.  I'm hoping things slow down here in another month or two (to give you an example of the craziness, I have driven 6,000 miles in the last 6 weeks).  I'm looking forward to spending some time in front of the computer!

TrekMD

6000 miles in 6 weeks? Dang, that's a lot of driving!  Sorry to hear that the sales have been slow.  Hopefully the next volumes give it a kick.
