If you are going to get one and you are in the UK the shipping cost will be around $50 which is around £33 so bare that in mind when you are bidding on one. Also contact the seller and mention that you are buying from the UK otherwise they might not do it. If you buy multiple carts he said they will try and put them all in the same box.

I thought I'd let you all know that the Atari: Game Over documentary is also now available on Netflix (at least in the US, not sure of other markets).

I believe Belloq in Raiders of the Lost Ark said it best...

"Look at this. It's worthless - ten dollars from a vendor in the street. But I take it, I bury it in the sand for a thousand years, it becomes priceless. Like the Ark."

...er like E.T. cartridges.

I remember playing this game at my Aunt's growing up and thinking:

"What am I actually supposed to be doing in this game??? If the goal is to continuously and inexplicably fall into pits and get angry, then I seem to be doing quite well. Sheesh... I think I'll play some Yars Revenge or Solar Fox instead."

At the same time, it would be kinda cool to have one of these. :-)

In case anyone wanted to see the latest Atari Dig Cartridge soon to be in my collection. I've already paid for it, I'm just waiting for it to turn up in the post now. It's gonna take a few weeks like the previous one did but it is coming from the US to the UK and customs like to take there time on this end.

Ah, a Defender cartridge.  They had a number of those on sale.  Cool.

The nerdyness in me keeps growing. The Defender cartridge plus the Swordquest Earthworld game has probably got to be the pride and joy of my collection now.

Just a query, regarding all the cartridges and others they've dug up, does the payment go to Atari or the state or some sort of fund? I'm just curious to where the money goes too? Or are these private sales to individuals?, who's getting the cash for all this, as I'm sure they this stuff coming out of the ears?

It's the city of Alamogordo where the landfill is located that is selling these. Where the money is going ultimately though I don't know.

TrekMD

I'm sure it's going into the City's pocket.
