I'll see if I can test it tonight when I get back from work using my Harmony. :)

It's up to you.  Right now we just have his experience which differs from my experience.  If we could reproduce his issues then I could better cook up a solution.

TrekMD

The issues are with the 2K binary, right?

Tried both 2k and 4k last night.  Randy sez:

1. The smaller invaders never show up on his system
2. The space tornado stays at the top of the screen and just follows the player horizontally.

It still could be that on his system my 2k ROMs don't work so well.  I don't know how much of a hassle it would be for him to try the 4k ROMs.

TrekMD

I will try testing it tonight or the next couple of days, at the latest.

You da man!  I've had games made by him before.  So, I know batari BASIC games can be made by him.

Worst case scenario I re-write RVG Blast from scratch or just make it for a different platform like the Sega Genesis.

TrekMD

Well, I tested this today both the original 2K and the new 4K games.  I did not have any problems playing either.  The played the same way.   The hurricane  moves up and down as it should.

I appreciate the sanity check TrekMD.  Unfortunately, this all means that we cannot reproduce the issues found on  a real cart.  I've already begun work on completely re-writing the game.  sigh.

Dang.  So, will you be keeping it at 2K or going up to 4K?

Since I assume the ROM Randy did try and make was 2k I'll have to go 4k.  Shouldn't cost any more.  I don't think most people know enough to appreciate the significance.

TrekMD

Are you going to use the extra space to add to the game or are you keeping it as is.  I know you wanted to keep it at 2K because of the challenge it represents for programming.

New game.  4k to keep it the same price to make.  One very real possibility is that being a 2k game was a problem.  I'd rather not let that be a factor if I'm going to re-write the thing :)

TrekMD

OK, sounds good.  Looking forward to it.  :)
