Here is an update that was sent out today along with a video!

[font=georgia:jhdrihmh]Project Update #29: Sensispeeches!

Last October, Loading Bar in Soho (just around the corner from 'the sex bit') was host to a unique Sensible soirée. A hundred-odd Sensifans crowded into the intimate venue, charged their glasses and mingled with Jon, Gary, Chipper, Stoo, Ubik, Stu Cambpell and a host of other 8 and 16-bit stars. Books were signed, Wizkid cake pops were eaten and Jon humbly took a beating in a few games of Sensi.

In case you couldn't make it to the event, or you had one-too-many Sensible World of Sakes that night, allow us to present to you Jon and Gary's speeches. I think the merriment and emotional high of the evening is clear, the most quintesensible moment being Gary declaring the book to be 'more meaningful than the Bible'.

The video was kindly shot and edited by fellow Kickstarterers Anthony and Nicola Caulfield, creators of the forthcoming From Bedrooms to Billions feature-length documentary on the UK video games industry.

They've informed me that anyone who pre-orders the film now will get access to their specially-created Backer's Zone. Immediately, this means access to four short films: 'Matthew Smith on Manic Miner', 'David Braben on Elite', 'Mel Croucher on Deus Ex Machina' and 'Rob Hubbard on Coding', and down the line, the Zone will become host to a selection of exclusive clips and music from the documentary. You can dive in and pre-order right here.

I shall return again soon with a video of Jon and Chris performing as Touchstone (an archive discovery we made only recently) and an accompanying story involving a confidence trickster, Esther Rantzen and a wasted drive to Manchester. The Sensistories just keep coming...[/font:jhdrihmh]

Think I'llorder this come pay day, SS made some of my favourite games and gave one of the best journalists out there (Stuart Campbell) a job so they are all right by me.

Plus being able to pick a team in Sensible Soccer were the goalkeeper was called "Fatty Farmers Wife" is incredibly amusing :4:

Not fully.  I've looked through the book, though, and it is really well done.
