Received some Ebay purchases so I've been playing Manx TT on the Sega Saturn, loving the biking action and finally found something on the Saturn to like.  :113:

That game was why I bought a Saturn.  It gives almost as much fun as it's arcade counterpart.

Completed Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Mega CD)

Sega Saturn session the other night which included Dungeons and Dragons, Hyper Duel, Strikers 1945 and Tiger II Plus. Also had a dabble on Sega Rally to compare it to the PS2 version I have and despite being on a much weaker console, it still plays wonderfully well and looks nice.

Hyper Duel is a fantastic shooter. Proper old school and none of this bullet hell rubbish.

Played a whole bunch of 7800 games over the weekend.
Ms. Pacman, Centipede, Asteroids, Xevious, Pole Position 2, Robotron 2084, and Desert Falcon.

Sidearms (Via Capcom Collection vol 2 on PS2).

What's the general feeling on this, as a coin-op?-Myself, not that impressed, whilst i can see it inspired other games (Retrograde on C64 for example), found it dull.

Poor music and sound FX, gameplay seemed to consist of warp in, get slaughtered, warp in, get slaughtered, face uninspired end of level boss (and i hate those damn snakes that keep cropping up).

Really did'nt feel anything special.

I love the PC Engine version, I only vaguely remember playing the Spectrum and arcade versions.

Thread bump, as just been reading the C.U review of the C64 version...Overall:2/10.LOL

Thanks to another post of The Laird, I got a copy of Phoenix for the Atari 2600. Having swapped the guts from a broken case into a non functioning Woody I ended up playing Phoenix for an hour or so yesterday.
