As stereo is not rocket science (but we all waited a long time for it in the past) I now present the youngest member of the retro stereo mod family: the Simple Stereo Mod!

What is it? A small MCU with 5 additional components on a 2x1cm pcb (Currently I use no SMD nor SOIC version). You need 5 solderpoints (+/GND/Audio In/Left Out/Right Out) and voila you'll get stereo for about $2. If you'll add a switch you are able to enable/disable it on demand (plus 2 solder points).

Sound experience is not as good as on his bigger brother with Surround and 3D Audio. But this is understandable. Lastest and greatest version of his brother (V3.0) houses about 6 IC's with all kind of filters, noise reduction, 3d audio and composite AV, joystick pause mod.

Currently it is open how to deliver, may be I open them as a gift to the community or assembly kit but this must be discussed.

The picture shows the prototyp with socket and not optimized layout (e.g. direct soldering instead of connectors)
