i proudly presents the Atari 7800, 2600, Intellivision and Coleco RGB mod. Started with this project more than a year ago i now have had the time to complete some testings. The result seems to be worth to replace current S-Video and AV mods. Quality will be slightly better than s-video due to signal isolation. Price tag will be on S-Video level (but with stereo surround, 3d audio and pause mod). Vendor in China signed agreement for delivery of required components a week ago. I was able to reduce the pricetag to 1/4. :67:

Atari or commodore homecomputer mod would be possible but i will not offer them yet. As s-video is not available anymore on current and next gen tv sets RGB will be one of the last analog connectors - beside av composite - used. Rgb is implemented in all current hdmi and video ic's so may be available for some years until scart adapters disappears forever. Technical background for s-video extinction is quality loss if combined with rgb signal in one scart connector. Previous tv sets offered two scart connectors due to that reason (one with av/ s-video, another with av/rgb). Since tv sets gets thinner over time scart connectors are currently replaced by external adapters offering only one single connector: rgb and av combined. Btw. S-Video is not part of the SCART standard definition it is "only" an add-on as RGB price tag was quite high in the past.
