    WaterMelon have just opened up a Kickstarter to raise funds for a highly polished re-release on the PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox 360, and most importantly the Sega Dreamcast.

    Pier Solar is a 16-bit RPG that tells the story of Hoston, a young botanist who is on a quest to save his father from a mysterious illness. Along with his two best friends Alina and Edessot, the three friends embark on a quest seeking a rare herb to cure the illness of Hoston's father. Little do they know, it is the beginning of a winding journey that unravels his father's past and the mystery of Pier Solar and the Great Architects.

    Pier Solar was originally designed and developed for the SEGA Mega Drive & SEGA Genesis. Yes, you read that right!! It was actually the only newly  developed game for SEGA's 16-bit system in the new millennium. It's not a port, fan translation, or a copy of any other game. Pier Solar is a 100% brand new, entirely original,16-bit RPG.

    I made my pledge for this yesterday. I have the Genesis/Mega Drive version but I couldn't resist another RPG for the Dreamcast and with the updated graphics this should really shine! Judging by how quickly the total is going up I'm sure they will easily meet their goal.

    After only two days they are almost at the half way point to their goal. Is nobody else getting in on this? Where's all the Dreamcast love? I should add too that one of the members here ( 108 Stars ) does the graphics for this game.

    Awesome! Just in case you or anyone else isn't clear how the payment works for these it goes through Amazon ( if you don't have an account you will have to create one ) and they don't bill you until the Kickstarter end date which in this case is December 5th. :)

    Sadly the pledges for this have really slowed down. It started out strong and looked really good but at the rate it's going now it wont make the goal. Spread the word if you can  :)

    Just checked this and the total pledged went up by over $10,000 over night! They still need another $18,000 but they have 13 days left so it's looking better.  :)
