1 of my most played Lynx games.
Never saw the C64 version-Not bad at all.Colour bit washed out, but retains the nice big sprites etc.
Nes however, whilst nice and bright with well defined sprites...they are just too small for my liking, looses something as a result for myself.
The Lynx never ceases to amaze. This game doesn't have as many ports as others even though it is a good game.
I can actually remember playing Toki in the arcade before the Lynx version came out and thought it was a pretty good game, if a little hard.
They did an excellent job of converting the game over to the Lynx. I remember reading an interview with the programmers where they said they had an actual Toki arcade machine in the offices at Sunnyvale. They were given all the graphics and source code but when they converted the art over to the Lynx it looked terrible so they ended up playing the arcade game endlessly so they could copy all the graphics over by hand! Must have taken bloody ages!

That is impressive, to say the least!
Magazine preview of the unreleased Spectrum version:

Those magazine screenshots look really good.
