There are new auctions at ebay offering Coleco Vision power supplies.

The used power supplies are far behind the required technical specifications. I found the same power supply nearly a year ago and it offers the 12/5/-5 voltage but lacks the required ampere. The power supply cost about 3 Eur on large distributors.

If you use a power supply which lacks the required ampere (specially as the values are nearly 10 times behind the minimum requirements) the power supply may overheat or break after a while as it operates at it's limits. It may break your console too depending on the internal broken component.

I spoke with the user and it told me it is the one I already found but he tested it for some hours without a problem. Well technical specifications are there to be followed and only after a longer period of time (not only a few hours) you will know if your console and power supply survives.

As price tag is quite high (>60 Eur) I'm a little bit surprised he do not use the model I use for my Coleco power mod (using an internal industrial power supply which has better specifications than the original from Coleco)

I also told the guy to remove the ColecoVision branding as this is against trademark and copyright, too (and if he put a sticker on top of a power supply he must complete a certification called VDE as he created a new device not listed for consumers).
