Just saw this article on Ars Technica and thought I'd share it. Looks like the good 'ol Famicom has turned 30 today. Here is a link to the article: The NES turns 30: How it began, worked, and saved an industry. I know the "saved an industry" part doesn't apply in the European market but, regardless, Nintendo did make an impact with their system.
