Just in case you didn't think I was a grumpy moron already.....
I fancied a quick go on Star Wars the Force Unleashed on my XBOX 360 which went something like this:
- Dig out system and set it up
- Switch on and get error message. Won't boot up
- Ok, no problem. Give it quick tap and power cycle. Same issue again
- Hmm, looks like a HDD issue
- Disassemble HDD caddy and connect to PC
- Wheres my USB-SATA device? balls! 15 mins later its found
- Connect to PC
- PC wont read it. Connect to MacBook. That wont read it either
- Find some dodgey software probably riddled with porn viruses. Still no luck. HDD probably goosed
- Sounds like its spinning up now though, I'll try it back in the system
- Ah, its working. Play Force Unleashed. Yay the Vader level at the beginning
- Spend 10 mins and make it through the level to be confronted by a Jedi who decides to disappear into the ground leaving me with nowhere to go and no way to end the battle
- Grumbled and switched off XBOX with excessive force. Lots of comedy fist waving
- Plugged Revenge of Shinobi into Mega Drive and played it
- Smiled
Modern gaming is disappointing. Other opinions may vary.
