    Looks like Sony has decided to stop making PS2s, according to this article from GameInformer:  Sony Ends PlayStation 2 Production Worldwide.  Isn't the PS2 the 2600 of modern consoles when it comes to longevity?

    Yeah I think this was already reported in the news section.

    It's about time really, even if there is still the odd new game coming out for it.

    I am glad the 2600 still holds the record.

    I have to say that is pretty incredible that they were still making the PS2 so many years after its first release. Respect to Sony for making it for such a long time.
