From Sega.com

Sonic Dash, the all-action infinite running game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch is now live at the App Store for $1.99, AUD$1.99, £1.49, and €1.59!

[/align:smwlbav8]

Developed by the fine folks at Hardlight Studios — behind the more vertically inclined hit from last year, Sonic Jump — Sonic Dash features a fully realized 3D Sonic world on mobile and tablet. Weave and jump around hazards, smash enemies, and of course loop the loops at blazing speeds.

Here’s some of what the game offers:

  • Unlock (or buy) a variety of power-ups (including extra lives, ring magnets, and more)
  • Stay connected: Leaderboards keep track of your long distance running and run for the hills!
  • Play as Sonic or his friends, using each character’s unique moves and abilities

As tired as I am with all these running games I think I will have to try this one.
If there was ever a character well suited for this type of game it's Sonic.

Completely unrelated here but holy emoticons from hell!!!  :13:

Just had a quick bash on this, its actually pretty decent and Sonic obviously suits this genre of game very well.  :43:
The controls are ok, although i would prefer to tilt left and right than slide the finger to dodge.  :113:

Emoticon-fest  :13:

To be honest, I'm just surprised it took this long for them to make something like this. When I played Temple Run, I was basically thinking to myself "Yeah, this is basically like a Sonic special stage". Too bad Android only gets Apple's sloppy seconds when it comes to games, or I'd probably get this.
