Not overly surprised by slow Wii U sales.
Lot of folks just sticking with their PS3/360, know it'll be mere months before either Sony or Ms go public with details on their new hardware, so the 'wait and see' game is being played.
Plus, Wii U currently lacks a real 'killer-app' to draw people to it, Zombi U seems to be a real marmite game, Wii U needs a 'Gears' or Uncharted type exclusive of it's own to drag people away from existing hardware in real numbers.
360/PS3 games with better graphics in places/worse in others and 2nd screen stuff is'nt going to do it either, 3rd party developers treating it much the way they did the DC, ports until the big guns come out (PS4/Xbox Next) and if likes of Gearbox etc are'nt even doing the Wii U versions themselves? NOT a good sign, nor is being out sold by the PS Vita.
Nintendo should have learned from the 3DS-A selling point is ONLY as good as the games that make use of it, in that case, the 3D which soon went from only on 3DS..to, it also does...and from the Vita-No good having superb hardware if games are just versions of what you can get else where, why would you want a Vita for similar to PS3 type experiences? and again, why would you need a Wii U if you already own a PS3/360?.
They needed to launch with a stronger follow up release schedule.Rayman+Pikimin 3 been delayed.
If they are'nt careful, they'll have squandered the head start Wii U had, soon focus will very much be on the HYPE machines for PS4/Xbox Next.
And now Nintendo revised it's Wii U sales forecast, down by 1.5 Million, go onto say console having a negative impact on profits.
Guys, you launched it year or so too late and the killer exclusives are coming in at a trickle, what did you expect?.
Not too late to turn it around, but things should have been done differently.
Ninja Gaiden 3:Razors Edge, as expected, has'nt stayed exclusive to Wii U, it's coming to PS3+360, as well as all the Wii U versions extra content, it'll have more costumes and an extra 25 missions.

Bad news for Ninty!

2 once exclusives gone in as many days and this before official annoucements from Sony+MS on their next-gen platforms....
Nintendo had best start getting some exclusives of their own out and sharpish, as 3rd party wise, writing pretty much on the wall in terms of how they view the Wii U. Cannot seeit getting games optimised specifically for it's GPU in great numbers judging by the events of past 2 days...
I'm exceptionally happy that games I want to play are finally not going to be nintendard exclusives, I was soo narked off when Sonic Colours, the sequel to Nights and Epic Mickey were exclusive pii titles, so I'm happy to see the publishers/developers wise up and make them multi platform, they can't possibly make their money back on them just from the wii

Things are looking very grim for Nintendo after this news!
Looks like the other platforms won't have the gamepad touch screen puzzle levels, so Wii U will still be the 'complete' version.
BUT delaying the Wii U version until September for simultaneous multi-platform release is ridiculous. I probably would have paid full retail price at the end of February since it's my most wanted Wii U title. By September I'll be playing other Wii U games and won't mind waiting for the <$15 clearance price that all ubisoft games reach within six months...
Things though, you don't know what extra features they might add to the PS360 versions. Online support will almost definitely be better.

Big IF, but IF they used the PS3-PS Vita link up, it could be done for PS3 version and it'd be just the sort of thing i could see Sony encouraging to to convince PS3 owners to get a Vita.
Speculation on my part of course.
Not the best week for Wii U.
2 of it's exclusives are no longer that, Monster Hunter servers to be region-locked so no UK/USA play for example and Wii U games sales for January (UK) are in, some 34,000 Wii U games sold, compare that to:
PS Vita 46,000 games sold.
(And 810,000 360 games and 545,000 PS3 games, but here much bigger user bases).
Not a great sign when a struggling handheld is selling more games than your flagship home console....
Nintendo really need to start turning Wii U's fortunes around.
ubisoft's management are taking some heat for the Rayman Legends delay. Massive complaints on their facebook page, ubisoft forums, miiverse, and even a former member of the development team:

ubisoft's suits have now announced that they'll make a second eShop demo soon but that's just fanning the flames.
The most logical suggestion I've seen is that they should at least offer the full game via eShop starting this month. Then they could control pricing and keep the vocal internet fanbase 'happy'. Put it on a disc in September when the multi-platform ports are ready.

The 'fear' the suits seem to have is IF they release the Wii U version now, you'll have legions of angry PS3/360 owners saying why are we paying full price for a 7 month old Wii U game.
Since the Wii U version is obviousily going to have things the 360/PS3 version does'nt, why they just don't release Wii U version 'now' and include bonus material specific to PS3+360 versions (maybe focused on online play etc) so owners feel they are getting a version talior made for their hardware rather than just port with features missing, i just don't know.
If my thinking is correct with Rayman 2 the DC version had extra content over the N64 version, but arrived later?
Edit:Indeed it did, DC changes included slightly zoomed out camera, some 2D sprites replaced with 3D models and exclusive mini-games.
PS2 version, had name change and even more changes made, so honestly cannot see why they cannot take a similar approach this gen.Release Wii U version, then follow up with PS3+360 versions offering differing content, that way, everyone gets chance to exp.the game, no-one should feel cheated.
