Nintendo will be shutting down the online gaming servers for the Wii and DS on May 20th. eshops and streaming video support will continue... for now.

Pretty disappointing to see them shut down the servers while both systems are still available at retail. Seems like they could have just reduced the number of servers to match the audience that's still playing and maintain community content / in-game DLC / leaderboards for a while longer. If this is an attempt to force customers to migrate to Wii U/3DS, it doesn't seem very consumer friendly...
