Nintendo announced a new 3DS last week, and to be honest I just passed it off as a new hardware revision like they always do. Reading a bit more about it though, turns out it really is a new handheld with added features and a faster CPU. They have added a second analog stick (or nub as they are calling it), two new shoulder buttons, improved 3D, and with the faster CPU there will be games that are only playable on this new system.

I think I will be getting one. I have bought exactly one of every Nintendo handheld made, and it's always been the original launch model. Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Advance, DS, and 3DS. The revised ones are always better, but I've just never been able to justify the price for some cosmetic differences. This time though with all the changes and exclusive games, I'm sold. Anyone else planning on getting one?

There will be an XL and a regular version as well.
