'Fable 3' free to download from Xbox Live

Fable 3 is currently available as a free download from Xbox Live.

Despite being listed for $19.99 on the Xbox Marketplace, choosing to download the game using Microsoft points instead of using a payment option as a Gold member unlocks the title for free.

It is unclear whether or not Microsoft has made a mistake with the listing, or if the game is being offered as a free download to coincide with the 2013 E3 gaming expo.

Fable 4 is among the games Microsoft is expected to unveil during today's (June 10) press conference, which kicks off at 5.30pm UK time.

The company recently announced Fable Anniversary for the Xbox 360.

Fable Anniversary will offer shorter load times than the original, a new save system, online leaderboards and a significant visual upgrade.

Fable 3 received very favourable reviews when launched with a Metacritic average score of 80, download now before its removed!!!
