Didn't know where to put this but since BFG-E was released in 2012 it should still qualify as modern. Certainly a step up from the original 2004 release. Glad they fixed that pesky flashlight thing 🙂
I'm playing through this right now and loving it. More of an eerie atmosphere than running through guns blazing. I don't see how this story fits in with the series but it's DOOM so who cares. Must be a side story or alternate reality since Doom 2 and Doom 64 guy stayed in Hell to keep anymore demons from uprising. Either way, Doom 2016 guy is resurrected after being trapped by demons under a temple they collapsed on him and Doom 3 guy is a new face to Mars so WTH? At least Doom 2016 guy could be the same person from Doom 1,2 or 64. Hmmmmm

Here's a great resource for console cheats :p So I don't forget, in Windows click the Desktop launcher and select Properties. Paste in the following to enable console with just a touch of the tilde key (~):
+set com_allowConsole 1
That's a space then the rest. So, the entire string should read: "C:Program FilesBethesda SoftworksDoom 3 BFG EditionDoom3BFG.exe" +set com_allowConsole 1
