Hey come on , this is a classic shooter..show a little repect  >:( I think old ips been redone is a great opportunity for people who weren't alive to experience the old stuff we played when we where younger, although it's a cash-in at the same time..some of these remakes are fantastic , pinball dreams and battle squadron where brilliant .

Have to agree. Great idea, I will have it.

It was a good game on the Amiga but iOS is a crap platform, touch screen controls are utter shit in my opinion.

Alien Breed will be exactly like playing it like the olden days..can't wait. If you loved Alien Breed then I don't think it would matter if touch screen controls where all that was in there..the fact that they've converted it..proves how many love the Alien breed games, so using an Icontrol or Icade will be the way to play this classic.

I did and I have used an iCade, they are fine if you want to pay a fortune for both the iPad and then the iCade unit. Still far from perfect, some games are a bit laggy with it.

Game would be much better suited to XBLA. I would rather play the original Amiga version or Alien Thing on the ST.

I gotta agree for the most part about touch screen controls being shit.
I have an android tablet so I wouldn't be able to play this anyway but from the games I have played on it I really only like a few of the new games that are designed with that control right from the start.  Any game that was originally meant to be played with a controller I can't stand with touch screen controls.
Just my two cents.

Just purchased this today, and I have to say they did a sterling job on the port, not only do you get a new set missions, but they give you alien breed one and aliens se all in glorious hires graphics, or if you don't like that you can play them in the old Amiga resolution too..ohh did I mention this has full icade support?, YES it does!,  making even better and bringing the Amiga gameplay back after 20yrs for your enjoyment, so what are you waiting for?

Well i have now had this game a week or so, what can i say other that its simply genius. I would even go to say its the best iOS game i own..

Not a fan of the touch screen controls but i can kinda see how this could work really well - shame im on Android but if it sells well then you never know.

Heads off to play AB on the 360
