The Charm is a retro platformer in which you play as Sir Oup, a Knight of the kingdom who is on a quest to break the evil that has taken over the land. It won't be easy though as many strange creatures, spikes and nasty traps will try to block your quest, yet that's what adds to the fun of this game. Your little guy can jump, duck, shoot his way through the levels and pick up items to solve puzzles. From waterfalls to forests there is lots to discover across the platform landscape. The Charm is very reminiscent of many of the classic puzzle platformers of old like Dizzy and Monty Mole.

Originally developed in 1991 by Acme and Mikomedes for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, The Charm has since been given a new overhaul by RetroWorks, which takes advantage of the 128k models with upgraded graphics. So with that mind the The Charm requires a ZX Spectrum 128k, +2, +2a or +3 machine. The game has been released for free to use with real hardware or emulators and you can find out more about it over at the Official Website.
