Ok everyone I have just spent a couple of hours scanning in lots of Lynx stuff so it's time to post some!

First off are scans from my favourite magazine of the Lynx era, Game Zone

The imbecile responsible for reviewing Pac-Land seems to think the Lynx conversion was a whole new game, i.e. he's not even aware the game was an arcade coin-op.

An arcade coin-op released prior to Super Mario Bros. on the NES that is mostly overlooked by ignorant folk on teh internets despite it doing things that Nintendo's game is often credited with doing first.

Also, said idiot also appears to think Pac-Man was released in the 1970s.

Yep, I remember being really annoyed by that back in the day too. A small blemish on a usually brilliant magazine, shame.

I'm not familiar with Game Zone magazine. From the writing style present in reviews such as the one for Toki it would appear the publication was primarily targeted at the 8-12 years old age group which probably explains why I never bought it at the time.

I was about 13/14 at the time and I really liked it, especially because they absolutely loved the Lynx and constantly talked about how superior it was to the Game Boy and game Gear.

Nice stuff, keep them coming, Laird. :)
I am wondering what exactly warranted giving Switchblade II a 7 in the sound department though.^^

Yeah I found that highly amusing too!

I have tons more of Lynx reviews to post, it was well covered in the UK press for a while.

I took a quick glance first and saw Elevator Action and I was wondering how could I have missed that title on the Lynx!?!  It's a GB title mixed with the reviews of the Lynx games.  :)

Loving the look of that California Games prototype Lynx game cart.

Seeing those wonderful (for the time) graphics of Lynx games in the screenshots relative to the crappy-looking Game Boy game screenshots certainly brings back a few memories of how great it felt to own a Lynx back in the day.  :1:

I'd like to get a prototype of Monster Demolition. I also saw it in a japanese TV report, but nobody on AA at the time knew of the game.

I imagine this was eventually turned into Rampage when they got that license.
