What is a good/your choice for Linux? I used to use Ubuntu quite a bit and logged plenty of info for getting/keeping the cool stuff running but at the time, Wine wasn't advanced enough and had to have certain Windows only programs-which is still true today but I have no clue where Wine is now. Wine alternative ideas. Crossover Linux at $60! :o
Have linked to Zorin OS and considering the Lite or Core option. Which is better?
Have tried Mint before and it wasn't versatile enough. Most of the issues I had with programs usually involved the phrase, "based off Ubuntu's..." so I ditched it and kept using Ubuntu at the time. Anything tried and tested with good compatibility for machines? I'd like some confidence before installing on my laptop as UNpartitioning a Linux configured hd is a major nuisance to me.
I'll probably dual boot with Ubuntu again but if anyone has ideas I'd love to hear them. Always wanting to learn more or discover something new. Thanks!
