A Game Boy favourite has been given a new home on the Amstrad CPC 6128 with a fan conversion of Bubble Ghost.
The game puts players in control of a friendly ghost whose job is to guide a delicate soap bubble through a series of rooms without letting it collide with the scenery.
The CPC conversion recreates the 35-room challenge from the 1990 Game Boy release, bringing its puzzle-like movement and careful bubble control to Amstrad hardware.
It joins a growing collection of modern CPC projects that are looking beyond the machine’s original commercial library and adapting software from other classic platforms.
RVG take: Bubble Ghost is a good fit for the CPC, particularly for players looking for something different from the usual platformers and shooters appearing on the system.
