Lots of new stuff coming in 2021 from SongBird Productions!  Check them out here.  A link to the their page is on the bottom of this post.

Iron Soldier 3 for NUON is coming in 2021

This surprise licensed release is getting the white glove treatment right now to ensure all of the layout graphics for the disc, case, and manual will be superb.

This game has passed the 100 mark for sign-ups. That means this reprint is a GO for 2021. If you haven't signed up yet, head over to the IS3 sign-up page right now as this will be a one-time limited run based on demand.

Atari Lynx - Centipede

This amazing game was started by Shadowsoft (who also ported Joust and Robotron to the Lynx) way back in 1993, but was never completed. Songbird recently acquired the rights and set about to adding new features and fixes to the game ROM. The result? Well, see for yourself with this Centipede preview video:

All-new features including:

    Sound effects
    Music, including three brand-new songs
New enemies including behavior and animation improvements
    Level progression / playfield updates
    EEPROM support

This amazing port will be an exclusive limited to only 500 units.

Atari Jaguar Battlemorph - Re-release

BattleMorph is also coming back for a limited reprint on the Jaguar! This game is the incredible sequel to CyberMorph and ratchets up everything: better graphics, better audio, more levels to explore, cinematic cut scenes, and more!

This reprint will include professionally pressed CDs, full-color instructions, and Amaray DVD case. Also for the first time: the BattleMorph soundtrack will be available on CD too! Both items are limited to 500 units or fewer.

8bit-Slicks for the Atari Lynx

If you enjoy high speeds, sharp turns, road hazards, and bumping other cars, then 8bit-Slicks is for you! Practice solo on the tracks or race against up to 3 different opponents. Featuring 12+ different tracks and 4+ tunes to keep you pumped, you’ll race again and again until you hit the zone.

Plus, in a first for the Lynx, the game will support online head-to-head play via the 8bit-Hub! More details coming in the months ahead.

Atari Jaguar - Kings of Edom

Kings of Edom by Phoboz is a rogue-like game with a dash of RPG thrown in for good measure. You are an intrepid adventurer who must delve ever deeper in the dungeon while searching for the lost crowns of the 11 kings of Edom. Along the way, you will encounter many foes, treasures, traps, and magic!

Atari Lynx - Unnamed

Unnamed is the latest game of adventure and mystery from Marcin Siwek. You wake up in a strange place with no knowledge of where you are or why you are there. You must unravel the mystery and solve the riddle of the maze of rooms. Featuring an intuitive command interface and inventory system, this game will keep you riveted from start to finish!

Atari Lynx - Microvaders

Over 20 years ago, a little puzzle game called Lexis was published for the Lynx by Songbird Productions. If you beat the game (or *cough* use the cheat code), you unlocked a small bonus game which is a nice homage to classic arcade shooters like Space Invaders or Galaxian. But there is no sound, no music, and the game is really tough to play with dozens of enemies and shots swarming you all at once!

Songbird looks to rectify that situation with the upcoming release Microvaders with a bunch of new features planned including:

    Title screen with music
    In-game music and sound f/x
    Animated enemies
New enemy wave definitions to gradually ramp the challenge
Power-ups including rapid fire, shields, and more!

Atari Lynx - Sky Raider Redux

Long time in development, but in the final stages of development and test right now. This Lynx game features new graphics, smoother river banks, all-new music, islands, EEPROM support.

Well, Carl finds legitimate sources and gets the rights, etc.  Centipede I have as a prototype but it has no sound or anything. He took that, completed it, and is releasing it.  Same goes with some of the other games.  Others, like Unnamed, homebrew developers made.  So, a mixed bag.  :)

Shadowrunner

That's cool he's doing a run of Iron Soldier 3 for the NUON. If I had the system I would grab a copy.

Here is a new video for Sky Raider.  As you can clearly see, the game was inspired by River Raid...
