Rogue Trooper

Inspired by mention of NES version of Myth (Conan by Mindscape) fired up the NES emulator this morning to see if i had the game on there and wanted to see how it fared next to the C64 original, which i loved at the time, not played for years...

I hate it, seriousily WTF has Mindscape done here?.Controls are awful, but worse still a terrible piece of music burbles along in the background, adding nothing to the game.It seems further alterations are a change or removal of the C64 last boss, according to 'the net.

Looked to see how well it was recived, seems Nes owners hated it.Quick Google search threw up topic title:which is worse: Conan or Defender Of The Crown on Nes?

And looked at Gamefaqs: Reader Average Review 3 reviews score 1.7.

Gamefaqs Rating Average 4.2 20 users.

Wondering if it was honestly worth the coverage in the Myth article, when space could instead of been used to inc some actual in-game shots of host platform version, C64.

I do not know about Conan/Myth. Defender of the Crown was an excellent game on the Nes.

'Worth it' from a consumer perspective or from the publisher's perspective, RT?

(That's a rhetorical question, btw!)

This was a rather interesting selection of games.  I have Joe & Mac and it is a cool game but I had not heard of the others.  I'll check some of these out.

Got 3 hours to spare?  Here is a video looking at all the title screens of games in the NES's library!  Check it out:

I can see having it running for 3 hours just to listen the title screen game music.  LOL

We've seen several choices of NES games members have posted and we've even looked at a video of 10 obscure gems for the NES.  How about 20 games that defined the system?  What do you think of this list?

Good list, as those twenty games get mentioned quite often. Shame on me, I have only played about half of those games.

Time to turn in my Nintendo membership. :78:
