I definitely agree with him, some NES stuff seems to go for silly money despite being pretty common.

I guess it is based on the popularity of the system in areas like the US.

Awesome, amazing how many variations there are at times.

I didn't know they had sent special versions of the toploader with A/V output to some customers.  I wonder how many of those were released and how many still exist!

One thing I didn't realise until recently is that Nintendo had licensees test their games against many revisions of mainboards (not just different models).  So, not only were the amount of games restricted they were forced to patch against the big Ns own botched hardware.

Not a jab at Nintendo - just fascination that there can be many variants within models.

zapiy

Yeah thats strange that could happen but i suspect they all suffed this in some way?

Here's a video similar to the one I posted for the Genesis/MD. This one looks at the top 10 most expensive titles for the NES...

I just saw someone is selling a game called Panic Restaurant for the NES.  I had never heard of this game before but it appears to be rare as a lose cart is going for $375 over at NA.  The prices on ebay are just as high or higher.  A manual goes for $150!  Does anyone own this game?  Is it any good? Looks like a rather peculiar platformer.  Here is a video of the game:

Never heard of it before but I like the look of it. At that price though, I won't be buying a copy any time soon!

TrekMD

Me neither!  Boxed copies go for three times that much or even higher!
