I read some bad reviews about the quality but until I have one on my hands I can't say for sure. Hope to try it soon.

It happened some bad things in my life so I'm not going to be able to have it now, I'll have to wait some time but sooner or later I will pick one up.

SO...

I got the NeoGeo X Gold package.
My first thoughts? AWESOME
I immediately hooked it up and started playing some really great games (being unfamiliar with most of them was an extra treat). I started off with Metal Slug and then proceeded to journey into the more "seemingly" obscure titles. I never owned a NeoGeo before but since my birthday is coming up quick, I thought I'd give it a try for once in my life. I mean, Ive played a few games before at a friends and watched a lot of videos on it. So I guess I knew what to expect.

My recommendation? If you get one, the joystick is an absolute must. I really enjoy the overall quality of the system. And now I desperately want to play this with my gf and friends. SO picking up and extra controller would be a wise choice.
Now getting back to the system quality-
I watched a lot of reviews of the system on youtube. And lets face it- All I heard was a bunch of whiney, socially awkward nerds that really cant be pleased. The purist may not enjoy this, but Im not one of those. But I am a vintage gamer, and I love retro. The controllers run great, the portable is top notch (it is very light I agree, but I don't think that its cheap by any means). And the overall physical quality is everything I would expect from a new system release. Not bad
