Breakers Collection: A rerelease of the Neo Geo cult classic, Breakers Revenge

This was announced four days ago and surprised me a lot since the series has been dead since 1998. I had just started playing Breakers Revenge a month ago and now a rerelease is coming to PC and consoles.  QUByte Interactive acquired the rights to the franchise on August 15th and immediately announced that they would be releasing this collection.  Apparently there will be bonus content, but nothing specific has been specified yet.

What are your thoughts on this?  Have you ever played Breakers before or at least heard about it?  What would you like to see done with this collection?

This is not a game I've played before.  I never had a NeoGeo so I had not seen the game before.  Visually, it looks quite nice!

I have the Neo Geo CD game. It's good but I haven't put a lot of time into it. Nice to see it getting released for current systems.
